Nice Laura - great list of things to do . Personally I am going to keep on the weight loss wagon. I don't know exactly how much I lost but I assume it is at least as much as your 8 pounds and probably more. The black belt that I wear most often is now fitting at a loose 3rd to 4th rung depending on the pants it goes with. That is a major benchmark for me.
In terms of eating habits - I agree with everything you put down. I will have to add this key one for myself:
Don't get back on the caffeine, alcohol, late night food wagon again. Before starting the detox I was really frazzled in general from 1) too much caffeine during the day, 2) needing alcohol at night just to settle down 3) having a high tolerance from doing this too often and eating late night additional carbs and fat/salty food because it tastes soooo good together with the drink.
I am going to stick to a simple diet during the week. Veggies and fish/light portion of meat for lunch, and veggies/juice (good call laura) for dinner. It is important to note that what you eat later in the day will stick with you the longest. What you go to sleep on is what you sleep with...
Most importantly, when my body tells me something - I will listen. I actually know when I am full. I just keep eating for no real reason other than I am feeling fidgety (often a result of the caffeine or alcohol as noted above).
Long last moderation and love of our bodies!!!

Time to Eat Again
Well--Stef broke her fast on Day 5
And Ben and myself are breaking our fasts today, Day 7 (with me fumbling on Day 5).
It's been a long and windy road...glad I had the motivation to push through, and glad to return to the world of normal eating and social interactions (non-cleansing friends have only so much patience for this sort of thing). I'm very thankful to my partners in crime, Stef and Ben.
"Retox" will be an effort in itself. I'll have to try hard in order to do the following during this time:
1. Keep off 4 of the 8 pounds I loss leaving my body weight around the low 120's (I started at 126 went down to about 118)
2. Stick to wine over beer when possible--tastes a lot better and packs on less empty calories
3. Cut my addiction to carbs: I'm currently not craving carbs like I did at the beginning of this thing. Hopefully that's a habit this cleanse will have alleviated me of.
4. Get back my freakin' muscle while staying slim: I fear some of the 8 lbs was muscle...I want it back w/o the fat. I need to start working out again while keeping food consumption to a minimum, and ultra healthy in order to do that.
5. Keep drinking lots of juice: Now that Stef owns one, and we've tasted it's wondrous results, I want to juice frequently replacing meals when possible with juice.
6. Chill out on the meat and diary products: they're harder for your system to digest. Go with vegan meals when possible.
That's about it. Over the last 4 days I've felt awesome and have loved not needing to eat--I thought "Eating is for mortals!!" ha-- but of course it's necessary, and it's time to put my system back to work.
Cheers!

I am breaking down - I want to eat!!!!!
So it is day 7 and I am tired of f#$%ing not eating. Partly losing motivation because I ready an article today that said there is a 3 day juice cleanse that is mostly apple juice that can help one have a successful liver cleanse. Since I don't really want to be stuck on the toilet all morning tomorrow I rather do this later and just start eating tonight. Also, I am just hungry and feeling grumpy now and want to eat something sweet, like a chocolate covered macaroon. Then have some Mexican food tonight and a beer... aaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 down, 2 cheats, 3 days to go
Awesome guys, glad we all decided to do this together! Sorry to have lost you on day 5 Stef but I understand.
Feeling a bit of frustration today - Sunday has always been a day for the glutton in my life. We got 2-3 more days to go though and I am looking forward to seeing my green liver stones!
Wierd about the black colon gunk Laura - not to worry though, it is a good think that it is out!

Smooth Move
I've picked up some smooth move tea for us to drink tonight....YUM!
I'm feeling good....pretty relaxed. I'm sure the afternoon will be harder.
Almost broth time!

Hunger Pains
Or is it pangs? I really haven't felt any yet, surprisingly enough! So far, so good on this end. I'm about to have a bit of afternoon Breuss juice, and chase that with more tea. Love tea. I just mixed lemon juice and hot water....quite good.
Oh and the Broth is delicious....the ginger makes the drink!
Looking forward to Bentonite later...and bed.

Day One
After an epic trip to Rainbow grocery and juicing until our juicer blew, we're here on day one of our detox cleanse.
I'm already beginning to feel the effects: hunger, light headed, and more hunger. This early onset may be withdrawal from the things I love like carbs and sugar. Yum.
I can hardly wait for this workday to be over...
How you two getting by?
